On my way to the Indie Rock Fest 2011!!

I've been a fan for a long time of this mexican pop punk band called Pxndx and finally got the chance to see them play live at the Indie Rock Fest last Saturday.  This fest was held at Ramey's Base at Aguadilla, PR, luckly for me my best friend Keila lives in that town.  Aguadilla is 2hrs away from my town so I added a road trip playlist on my iPod, wore confortable clothes, decided I was gonna try take pictures of every interesting thing I saw on the road and on my way I was.  I had a great time and a must needed quality time with Keila.
Pumping some gas before the long drive.

Tastee Treats Hatillo, PR.  Every time I go on a road trip I have to stop here to take pics.  Taken with double exposure camera from Leme Leme iPhone app.

28 more miles!!! 30 more minutes!!

Bathroom break Wendy's Isabela.  My friend from my town Juan Carlos was there.

Yay!! I made it!! Keila's neighbor welcomed me lol!!
Keila and I ready to go to the fest!!
Since it was raining so much Keila suggested  we put our phones in zip locks to prevent water damage!! Clever, clever!!
My generic converse lived their last day of glory at the fest.
The pit!!
Pepe, Pxndx's lead singer!  I would have liked to take more pics but it was raining.

Date with Vincent

I'm a mom of two boys and that means sometimes not having a lot of time to spend with each one of them individually.  So when I found out that this year's Disney on Ice was gonna be of Toy Story 3 I got super excited and thought it was a great place to take Vincent and spend some time alone with him.  He was super excited and happy not only because he was gonna see Woody and Buzz also because we took the train.  Let me tell you my kid is obsessed with taking the train.

Waiting for the train
He even has his own train card
Train station...great place for taking pictures

Trying out the double exposure camera of Leme Leme App

At least here in Puerto Rico if you go to a Disney on Ice show you must buy a light sword
We were sitting this far from the stage.

Yesterday I had the chance to be part of the first ever Bazar-Pulguero Tropical  (Tropical Bazaar-Flea Market).  The whole week here in Puerto Rico had been raining like crazy and it was almost canceled but we were lucky enough yesterday and not a drop of rain fell from the sky.  This Bazaar-Flea Market was held at the parking lot of a pretty cool laundromat/tailor's shop/gallery called El Londri.   I took my youngest son, Hendrix, with me and we all sure had a blast.  I met some new cool people and spend time with good friends.

Handmade Goodies from Claudia!

Today I got a package from my other partner from the Swap-Bot Handmade Accessories Swap my friend Karla was hosting.  I can't wait to use what she sent.  Claudia is the owner of an Etsy shop called Bazaar Latino.  She sells amazing vintage inspired jewelry and accessories with a romantic feel to it that I just simply love.  I'm really delighted to be the proud owner of some of her pieces.

Everything was beautifully wrapped.

Frida Digital Art...what's not to like?

Sweet note and some extra stuff.

I'm loving a lot the crochet earring and nacklace set

Of course I quickly put the necklace on to see how it looked on me ;)

Design Green

Design Green is...an idea I had for so long and finally one day (not to long ago) I got up and started working on it.  Since I lost my job last September I have more time free to really commit to this project.  So Design Green was created with the idea to take all those fabric scraps that I had/have and turn them into jewelry and hair accessories.  The first things I made, even though I sell most of the pieces, were good but not had the "one of a kind" feeling I was looking for. Then I tried polymer clay and working with it I found out that I like quick projects better so then again I sold all the polymer clay things I made (mostly robots and lollipops) and took a break.  Finally couple of months ago I decided the direction that I wanted Design Green to take so officially Design Green is a comic book accessories and upcycled jewelry line that I'm very proud of.
